I liked reading this diet book- the images of complex scientific processes that other books make so complicated were actually fun to read and made me laugh (and understand it!). I really like that I can "mess up" on the diet and that is still OK and I can still feel good about myself. Meal ideas and recipes are for those on the go (30 minute prep time MAX), which is so helpful especially since I have a large family to cook for.

Absolutely The Best

No fads or expensive meal plans....just common sense. Easy to follow and great tasting, you don't have to buy anything special. The recipes were surprisingly excellent and I lost weight very quickly, while still feeling satisfied. Better still, I have more energy and feel better than I have in years.

After the first two weeks you can pick your own menus from the real age website. It is very easy if you just pick 14 days worth and then repeat. The basic guidelines are to keep your choices under 5g of fat and sugar and more than 5g of fiber. I have a short list of quick and easy breakfast choices. Lunch is a cup of soup and a side salad or 1/2 sandwich and a cup of soup and for dinner I rotate between 14 menus from the book or website with 3 snacks a day.

I really feel this diet teaches you how to eat. Honestly, it's like not being on a diet at all because you are simply teaching yourself how to keep you body running the best it can. The book is humorous, and Dr Oz is a god... :P
