A Nutritionist Weighs in...

This is a tried-and-true healthy diet. No silly tricks or outrageous promises - this plan simply gives dieters the tools they need to improve their diet, be more active, and effectively lose weight by embracing a healthy lifestyle.

The “My Pyramid Tracker” may be somewhat time consuming, but it can be a great way for you to familiarize yourself with the foods you are eating and see how well you are meeting your nutrition and exercise goals. The My Pyramid website is up-to-date and easy to use. “Tips of the Week” and other current articles help to keep it fresh, and the site also available in Spanish.

My Pyramid is a no fuss guide to a healthy lifestyle.

Some may have more trouble adjusting to this plan than others, depending on their current diet and fitness levels. But the plan is manageable, realistic, practical and safe. If dieters can find ways to incorporate portions of the plan into their lives, they will experience some benefit. This plan does not pretend to be something that is not (as many other diets do). There are no “bells and whistles” or fancy tactics, so you need to be motivated and ready to make changes for yourself.
