A Nutritionist Weighs in...

Go and have tons of sex with your partner! Anything that increases heart rate will surely count towards the recommended thirty or more minutes per day of physical activity that is recommended by the USDA's Dietary Guidelines for Americans. However, the diet part of this plan does not provide adequate guidance and will leave the dieter asking many unanswered questions.

This is a fun plan, but you may want to find a more specific eating plan to go with it

Compliance with the prescribed amount of sexual activity may be tough for some dieters, especially those with busy lifestyles and kids, or who have to travel for work. Adding "morning romps" into your routine is especially recommended. These guidelines for exercising in the nude and increasing sexual activity may not be possible with children in the house.

Diet Pros Diet Cons
  • Tons of physical activity is recommended, some more pleasing than others
  • No calorie counting-just loosely defined portion control
  • Some new and exciting exercises are described
  • Nutrient-rich foods are recommended.
  • Champagne and wine permitted, in moderation
  • Underlying tone of the diet is fun with a sense of humor
  • No set plan given, just sporadic recommendations, especially for food
  • May not be practical for those without a willing partner or those with small children
  • Many sugar-free desserts recommended which some may not like
  • Improving body image by buying a new wardrobe, wearing high heels, putting on makeup, and keeping well-groomed may not improve your self-image
  • Some recommendations are not scientifically backed up
