A Nutritionist Weighs in...

This is a fun new spin on an old approach to dieting: calorie counting. It is honest and clear, recommends lifestyle modification by making realistic adjustments, and attempts to help you understand food. The visual images give a realistic assessment of the calorie content in foods and provide real surprises about the hidden calories, fat, and cholesterol in many favorite items.

Take a close look at what you're eating and learn to make good choices

If you're a visual learner, this diet's for you. The effective photography does help you learn and remember what are better nutritional choices for you.

This program does allow for too much sodium consumption. If you have high blood pressure, this can be a problem for you. It also places too many restrictions by suggesting that you replace all meat, poultry, and dairy with soy-based look-alikes. This is very helpful if you are a vegetarian or vegan, but you won't find it applicable if you're an omnivore. You'll need to remember that the lowest calorie option is not always the healthiest choice. Frosted Flakes cereal has fewer calories than the equivalent sized serving of Grapenuts. How about having a smaller serving of the fiber-rich and healthier Grapenuts instead?
